I hope the holidays were very enjoyable for you :)
Today I want to talk about how you can look your best for an event
Whether it be your Wedding (or someone else's), Prom, Homecoming, or maybe your graduation. You can use these tips for going to ANY event, because every girl ( and guy) wants to look their BEST!
This will be a 4 week/30 day/1 month list of things you can do to prepare yourself, from as early as a month ahead of the event.
Lets say that the event is a month from today : January 17th, 2014- February 14th, 2014 ( Valentines Day)
These are the basic things that girls do while getting ready for an event:
- Get a dress,shoes and jewelry
- Prep Hair
- Shave Legs
- Prep Face
- Whiten Teeth
- Tan
- Paint Nails
Week 4. ( January 17th -24th):
- Get your dress for sure this week! Make sure to get a size dress that isn't super tight on you, unless you plan on loosing weight before the event. But if you aren't planing to, just get a dress that has a little extra room just in case you gain any weight. I suggest Macy's
-Get your Tan. If you want to be tan and you want to go to the tanning bed, make sure to be it a month or more before the event. Go to your local tanning beds.
-Buy Teeth Whitening strips and/ or Whitening tooth paste and use it every day until the event. I suggest (Crest Whitestrips) Strips from Walmart
- Buy a few face products and start testing them out, or you can try a few at home remedies. Here are a few cool at home remedies for your face, (http://www.womansday.com). And they REALLY WORK!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week 3 (January 24th -31st):
- Get your Jewelry and Shoes that matches with your Dress.
-If you want to get your hair dyed or cut do it 3 weeks ahead, just in case you don't like it, there will be time for it to grow out and or not be so vibrant in color.
-Make sure that you are for sure using your teeth whitening strips!
-Choose the face product or remedies that work by this point and start using them daily!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week 2 (January 31st - February 7th):
-Get your Tan for that week
- Whiten your teeth and use the tooth paste with the mouth wash too! If you are not seeing results by now then switch to something more powerful or try using baking soda and peroxide ( do not get them on your gums).
-Use your face wash every day or every other day. ONLY use your remedy once that week.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week 1 ( February 7th - EVENT DAY):
-If you dont want to get a tanning bed tan then purchase a self tanner at the store. I recommend Jergens, and use it a week before the event. (Jergens Link)
- Use your last week of teeth whitening strips.
- Get your nails done at a Salon 2 days before the event or paint them yourself the day before.
- Test out makeup and hair looks this week and see which one you like so you don't have to decide on the day of the event.
-Use a Hair mask this week and let it hydrate your hair so it looks shinny!
- Shave your legs the day before the event and on the day of the event use lotion on them so they smell good and are soft.
- Wash your face this whole week and make sure to use moisturizer so that your skin glows but isn't too shiny.
- Lastly get all dressed and put everything on to go! Don't forget the perfume and deodorant!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You certainly do NOT have to do ALL of these things, but if you want to look your best you need to plan ahead.
Also I hope I got everything, there may be a few things that I missed or something that you do and I don't, but you can tweak this list to make it your own!
I HOPE THIS HELPED!!!
Remember: its all designed to help relieve your stress and help you relax more on the day of the event!
(Disclaimer: I made this list all on my own, the links are from websites that I think are useful)
